Has anybody mounted small subs in the molding?

I was thinking today that I will need to either downsize my subs or get a new car as I will be needing the room that my box takes up. Right now I have 2 12'' Polks, real nice, hits hard, but I was wondering if anybody has mounted say 2 6'' or 8'' subs in the side molding in back.

The molding I'm talking about is, on the driver side, just in front of the extra little "glove box", that curved little plastic part. And just opposite on the passenger side.

So anyway, has anybody done this? Any theories on how well it would work?

What other small, space saving enclosures have people made???

The glovebox spot would be best. There really is no room under the panels forward of there.

hey you can do this, its has been done with a single 12' solobaric, you could use any other small enclosure subs if you wanted. but the solobarics are known for tiny boxes, the round type not he square.

here is the link..... for a guy that did an install
