Anyone out there running DD's?

Ya i'm just wondering if anyone out the is running DD's. I'm thinking about buying some from a local shop here which holds the world SPL record, and many other awards(here's their website if you don't believe me http://www.customsoundworks.com/custom.html ) I've heard them at the shop and they sound better than any other speaker i have heard.

it really depends what you're going to use them for...the 9500 series and 9900 series are used quite often for SPL competitions, and ive heard the 9500s have very good SQ aswell in the right box.
i have their w6.5 midbass and the output from them is pretty impressive. I think my next setup might be with some 9515s not too sure yet.

what are you goals? do you want to compete in SQ or SPL or is it just a street beater? DD pretty much has a line of subs for every level of car audio enthusiast and they're all great performers.

Hope your willing to sacrifice some space as they like nice big ported boxes. IMO thats the only major downside on using them in a camaro.

the lower line stuff works pretty well in smaller boxes...even the 3500 series does pretty good. But yes you are right the 9500 and 9900s shine in huge ported boxes but most SPL subs do though

I'm thinking about getting the 3500 series. Ya i know about the space issue, they told me if i wanted to do that i'd have to go w/ 10's. I'm just tryin to have one of the loudest systems around, not plannin to go to any competetions or anything. But if anybody is running their subs let me know how good they are.

3500 series is a good street beating sub, unless you really screw up in box building you should be quite happy with it if properly powered.
