Flush mount kit on Ebay any good??

I saw this kit on ebay to flush mount cd players and think I may buy one. It seems like a decent deal and really looks better than those installation kits at BestBuy. What do you folks think?

Looks the same to the best buy one to me.

But I dont like the flush mounts - harder to reach when sitting all the way back in the seat.

I don't know PRO. The BestBuy around here doesn't have anything resembling that install kit. They only have the ones that stick out a 1/2 inch with the plastic frame around the radio. Maybe I'll look there again to see if I missed it but for the price the one in that auction doesn't look bad at all.

that thing still sticks out farther than my head unit and i didnt use a "kit" at all.

that is your standard GM TRUCK adapter.

you can pick one up at any walmart, stereo store, best buy, ect...

the trucks have the flush mount ones because theres enough room in their dash.

alot of GM cars dont.. so they just make all the car ones stick out so they dont have to make 2 car ones.

jsut stop by walmart, and you can have one tonight...

you just might have to mod the heater vents on a camaro if the radio is a lil long.

LOL, Pro/KJ! But that's what the remote control is for! (And I used to make fun of people that used a remote... go figure.)

True, but one of two things would happen with me if I had a stereo with a remote:

1)Have to learn a whole new CD player. I hate that. How do you se tthe clock? Radio preferences? etc etc that sucks learning a new cd player.

2)I would just lose the remote.

Solution: Simple, cheap, identical MP3 players in both my truck and camaro.

sounddomain sells a GM flush-mount kit for $6. The price they're asking for that ebay kit is highway robbery.

You can make your own out of $.20 worth of ABS Plastic and some scrap plywood.
