Or build a wall like I have and just get rid of the backseats since they are pretty much useless anyway. Then you'll have all the hatch space you need for amps and your t-tops.

I just turned the t-tops around in the bag, moved the mounting brakets to the top of the sub box, and strap them down as usual. They also still fit under the factory hatch cover hider thingy. With the tops out it does block some bass, but I think that having the tops with you, and out of the way, is well worth a little lost bass. And it also gave me an excuse to buy better subs and amp

I have a decent setup there, even have room for a toolbox.

I'll try to get some pics of what I am talking about and post them later on tonight.

Just be sure it is an equally secure space. i used to do lazy things like wrap them in a towel and that is how they got scratched......after a few erratic turns and coming out of the towel and contacting eachother...not good.

i dont have a stereo... yet. but i was thinking on making some sort of box that'll be dropped a bit low in that rear well and i can maybe have enough space for the t-tops to be in their normal bag?

yeah, exactly what i was thinking. but what if it were lower? would that take away some power and stuff, i recall seeing a lot about giving the subs airspace. it doesn't really matter, but if i'm doing it, most of the time i like adding a little "pizzazz" as some would call it.

I turned my bag around like was mentioned before, and built my box so it would be parrallel to the rest of the floor.
Works pretty well, I'll post some pics in the car soon...

I lay my bag over my speakers, by turning the bag around, and just using the stock front hooks... tighten them up, and they cannot hit my subs... I put stuff on the side of the bag to keep it from sliding around... and I think the bass get's louder with the bag covering it.... - this is because when you have the subs exposed, more of the high-pitched bass hits the window and reflects into your ears, and when the bag is over the subs, only the super-low frequencies get out... I'd swear I can get the subs 2-3 times louder with the bag on there without hurting my ears, but still feeling the crazy bass.

Can someone elaborate as to how you put the t-tops behind the back seat? there doesn't even seem to be enough room for air to fit back there, let alone t-tops... does the plastic trim stick out the top, and you just fit the glass behind there, and put some padding, or what?

My only complaint with my current setup is that it takes about 2 minutes to take the tops off, when it used to be like 1 minute... no biggy I guess...

i dont know about you guys, but if i put my ttops ANYWHERE near my subs...they will shatter...

im pumping about 143db outta my setup...and resting glass on the speakers will probably smash them..

i could be wrong on this..

also..it looks half assed to have them in the back like that with am aftermarket stereo..

put them in the backseat (secured) or leave them at home...or leave them on the car..

thats only my opinion..take it for what its worth

I have a wood lid with perferated aluminum grills with carpet over them so I can just put the t tops in like normal.Sound still goes through like normal.

those t-tops seem pretty damn durable, I'd find it pretty unbelievable that subs would break em... normally windows only break because they are fixed, not just sitting there in a bag

Both my cars have subs in the rear and both are t-tops. But my enclosures are built deep into the trunk so they sit even with that little ledge that goes around a little less than 1/2 way up. Leaves ample room for the subs and I can even stick a backpack or something in there if I need to and still put the t-tops in no problem.
