i got a 1000 watt kenwood doesnt seem like its pushing it enough i mean it hits hard but not as hard as i like what amp do yous perfer

the amp you have now is it a mono amp or what? is it 1000w X 2 at 4 ohms or 2 ohms or what? Im guessing thats peak power and the rms is way lower. find an amp thats close to the rms rating of that sub and it will sound much better. Look at the rms ratings, not peak...
I dont remember the 1206 audiobahns taking so much power tho, its been a while since ive looked at that model.......

how about a really shiny chrome one with big chrome flames and a hugely inflated power rating? Seems like a perfect match to the sub.

Take the RMS value of the sub you are using, then do some searching for an amp that will put out something close to that in RMS wattage.
Stick with the well known amps to be sure your not getting crappy equipment.
