Hey guys!!!
Anyone know of anybody who's put 6x9's in behind the back seats? I never have the backseats up and I don't want them in the side panels so I was wondering if they can be installed directly behind the backseats. Any comments would be great!!!

Well, as the seat backs rest directly on the tunnel for the rear end, I don't see how you can accomplish this ...
But, good luck

side pannels arent too bad nice and hidden and rock the peoples ears if anyone is ever in the back seat( 1 victim for me so far) but i dotn see them going into behind where the seats used to be at all unless you made a box and mounted the box against it not into it

short of cutting into the seats...I think it'd be pretty hard, sail panels seem much easier, if your going to cut into the seats mine as well put something a bit better into them. The post with the 4 8" subs in the seats looks cool.

Thanx for the reply guys. I didn't think was possible but my buddy mentioned it to me and I thought it'd be a great spot to put them. Can't see me mounting a box behind the seats so I guess in the side panels they go!!!

Well if you want to you can mount them on the deck lid that covers the rear sump in the hatch. You have to cut holes into it for it to work, but I've done it. I actually did it to have and extra pair of 6X9's so I had two pair (one mounted in the stock location) a pair of 4X6's a pair of 10's and a pair of 15's. If you want to see a pic of what I am talking about go to the thread about mounting a 10" sub that is in this section too. Someone else has done it too, but they have a pic.
