alpine or phoenix
Ive been thinking about either getting DVC alpine type-rs with a jbl amp or phoenix golds with some sort of amp. Im wondering what you guys feel sound better. I know the phoenixes have a bit more RMS then the alpines. The phoenixes are like 900 RMS pair so it would end up being 450 per sub 225 per voice coil. the alpines are something like 300 RMS. 150 per coil or something. Im wondering what sort of subs I should get too. 2 ohm or 4 ohm and what kinda channels amp I should get. Im not really looking to spend more then 500.00 on subs amp box and the box is going into a cutlass.
Can someone explain the ohms thing to me also. And what the differences are.

I have not heard the PG Xenon subs, but the Titanium subs are nice. You can still get them if you look around and for really cheap to since they are the old model. I think they look alot nicer then the Xenon subs too.
