Subwoofer recommendations
I just popped/blew the 2 10" subs in my car today (JL Audio 10W0) and since they were the better part of 6 years old I figure there may be something better out there. I need a pair of 10" 8 ohm subs. Any preferences?
how big is the box you are using?
you can get any Dual 4 ohm sub you like, and there are ALOT of them.
Sealed box? I like the w3, MTX Thunder 5500, and the memphis Power Reference are pretty good for a cheap sub.
I'm sure others will chime in with opinions aswell.

the type are is a great sub, for its price. i have no regrets and its all the bass i need. my only complaint about the type r is that it tends to sound better on the hard hitting bass notes such as rap. maybe i just need to be educated a little more though.

It's an Alpine T500 in mono. I think it's in the 300 watt range. The box is a sealed one made into the lower half of the well.

I would look fo a sub rated for around 200 watts RMS, since the amp probably wont be putting out much more the 150 to each sub. Either an 8 ohm SVC or a 4ohm DVC.

It is a V12 amp. I was looking at either going back with 10W0s or switching to Rockford Fosgate or Polk's GNX line.
