5 1/4 in component vs 6.5??

im looking for a good set of components up front in kick panels but the problem is that i dont want to make a kick for 6.5s and the q logic panel fits 6.25 or smaller. is there any noticable difference in 6.5s or 5.25in components??

You'll get more midbass from a 6.5 then a 5.25". Some 6.5"s will fit the qforms, but you may have to use the grills that came with the kicks instead of the speakers. Most websites list the actual dimentions of the drivers without any of the mounting hardware.

how much more bass are we talking.. like, will it be a "changing experience" or will it be little noticable becuz i would just save myself $20 and get the cheaper 5.25 comps

Depends if you consider a 10-20Hz difference a "changing experience".

yeah, it would actually have to be a "6" inch or smaller driver to fit in the q-forms.

Typically a 6.5" will go lower, take more power, have more output.

But in a kickpanel, with little room for an enclosure, it doesn't matter as much.

I would look for a 6.25" component if you can find out.

the exact speaker you want, is much more important than the size.

just make sure and listen to what you're thinking of buying, and i'm quite sure the 5.25 will work fine.
