fuzzy sounding radio

I was wondering is it just normal for the stock speakers to sound alittle fuzzy when lissening to the radio on the fm band. They sound fine when i put in a cd but if I play the radio it sounds all fuzzy you can still hear the music but in the background u can hear some thing. Now all I have done to the radio is put in a Sony head but even with the old stock head it still sounded fuzzy. Any ideas ? thx
