Stereo install kit?
I bought an install kit from Circuit City for my 88 TA. I installed my Clarion just fine, and mounts ok, but I cannot get the bezel back on. The kit sits to high for the bezel to sit flush like it should. Anyone have a place that sells GOOD install kist where it all looks nice and somewhat factory when done? So much for the "universal" kit. any info would be great. Thanks.

Did your kit come with a ton of stuff in it? That's the typical fits all GM kit most places offer. If so, you're probably using the wrong one. You're probably not going to be able to get your new headunit to sit flush.

When you say "The kit sits to high" (BTW, it's "too high"), if you're literally saying it's high, like toward the windshield high, sometimes there is enough slack that if you loosen the screws holding the kit to the car, you can move it slightly and make it work.
If you mean it sticks outward toward the back of the car, then try what Gummie suggests.

slotting screw holes on install kits can work wonders.

I meant that the whole thing, not the head unit is out too far, so my radio bezel cannot be put on. almost like the adapter is too large for the opening in the bezel. I'll have to look around in the big bag of stuff and see if i may have grabbed the wrong mounting tabs. I know it will not sit flush, but i hate not hvaing the bezel on, looks like crap. I didnt see any room to be slotting the holes, so maybe i did use a wrong part. Thanks for the info guys.
