New Setup Plans

I dont know if any of you folks remember me but a while back I was frequenting this section and trying to be as helpful as possible. Now its your turn to critisize my planned setup

OLD HU- right now its some blaupunkt Cd player it plays MP3's which is a nice function, but i have never used it. It also has next to no EQ

New HU - Prolly going to go with a Panasonic 8300/8400 series.

Old Comps- Cdt Ef's 6.5's, .75 tweet, never got installed was waiting for kicks, since sold

NEW Comps - Undecided, Might go with DLS not top end series i cant afford that, probably a middle series, or possible JL's, or diamonds...either way i want a 1" (or better) silk Tweet

Old Amps - Tsunami db1100, DB4440 - since have been sold

New Amps- Audio Art 200ms, hopefully i can at least find another one of these amps if so i'll run those on my subs(One 200ms per 2 subs). Undecided on Highs amps either another Audio Art, US Amps, or an old HCCA

Old Sub - (1)15" poweramper XP^2 Competition Sub

New Subs (4) 8" TangBand Clone woofers, 120WRMS each. I Hope i can design an enclosure where they'll perform well tuned in the 38-42Hz range somewhere

If you like the CDTs but want a 1" silk tweet try some elemental designs EDIs. Made in the same build house but has the 1" silk tweet

You know funny thing about ED, i was a big fan. but everything they do seems to be sketchy anymore. There product is always changing, build house problems, glue problems, cones crackin and i heard about some power handling issues....all relates to me wanting to stay clear of them until they can get there s#it straightened out.

Ya I definatly understand, but to date the new amps and comp sets have hadminimal problems. Tangband imo makes some very nice driver. Im running a single 6.5 and am happy....for now
