Kicker 10" Comp w/ JBL 4 channel amp

New to choosing audio equipment, so thought I'd check here for input. Did some searching for opinions/facts on quality stuff vs cheap stuff and here's what I came up with for some very basic stuff:

How does this 10" Kicker sub sound with this JBL amp ?

Maybe I should ask, "would this work ok", not "how does this sound", since that's pretty specific.

Thanks,
MikeS

you generally don't use a 4 channel amplifier for subwoofers, and in this case, you couldn't make full utilization of the amp, period, because the subwoofer isn't a dual voice coil.

the sub is good, just look for an amp that pushes ~250 watts rms into 4 ohms.

I was thinking I could bridge two of the channels for the sub and use the remaining two channels for speakers...

or am I thinking of that wrong?

Oh, ok. So have I matched the amp and sub correctly, assuming that I am running the sub with 2 channels bridged?

yes, it would work.

if you have the 8 ohm sub, it will not recieve as much power as if you choose the 4 ohm sub.
