bose system help!!

i just purchased my first f-body which happens to be my first car! i have the bose option in a 1988 tbi camaro w/ an auto. are there 6x9's in there? and for some reason when i turn the stereo up a bit the rear speakers sound like crap...loud crackling and popping noise. yes i had to put a new reciever in (clarion) cuz the past owner yanked out the original and also swiped the factory connector to the harness....it is wired up correctly w/ an inline converter ans wat not.....also the stereo seems to fade fro mfront to back or somethin when the volume is up there.....please ne help??!!

congrats on u first car. mine is mah first too.... okay, first id say if you upgraded the Head i would buy new speakers for the car. all you need to get is some decent component speakers for teh front and leave no speaks in the rear. also i have no idea what you are talking about inline converter?

most aftermarket speakers are 4 ohms, and id bet that you head unit would play alot better with 4 ohm speakers. its not a setting as much as its a design of the speaker

fronts are 4x6's and the rears are 6x9's...

you'd be better off just putting in kickpanel components and ONE-WAY 6x9's in the rear... just for mid to low bass response... then pop in some 12's in the hatch area---all set
