Problems with remote

My remote quit working for my Pioneer DEH-6600, so I bought a new battery and it still didnt work. I thought the remote was toast so I bought a new remote, worked great for like two weeks then it just quit. Changed the battery in it and nothing!!!!! I even reset the head unit, I am stumped

I kept mine in the console and it stopped working too... I assume that the battery is just dying from being hit on stuff all the time... dunno maybe you are putting in the wrong battery?

I'll replace mine to see what's up

Also, you did not leave it in the sun... or get it wet, right?

hey napalmdemos, I think it would be hilarious if you made your avatar have another half of a guage--a tachometer... that would be hilarious... one goes up, the other goes down

Yeah a 3v CR2025 is what I used, I tested the battery and its fine.

The remote never got wet and I allways put it in the console so I wont lose it. I'm ready to get a new head unit, this one is driving me crazy.

I wanna velcro mine between the window controls... it would fit great, and be right where I can use it... as its the only way to pause the dang thing... easily

yea its around that area.. if you wanna still use it while velcroed on you should place it first and press the buttons to see if it still operates at that angle, i didnt really think of that but got lucky anyways

I wish stereo makers would just make a damn radio remote for these things... I wanna control it from outside the car... is that so much to ask?
