I've got a 12" I'm waiting to put in my car.. but I need to rig up a carputer first... so I can have mp3/divx/dvd/gps and cellphone internet stuff first... I was gonna put it where my "glove box" is... READ:"Map Holder"... Actually I'm gonna wrap the back of the LCD with the leather-y stuff and make it flip up from the angled plastic in front of the passenger's knees... I think it would be well-hidden in that scenario--as I would not want to have to remove the screen every time I get out of my vehicle---as I already do with my radar detector, and my stereo faceplate.
Plus I don't know for sure, but I have heard people have problems with the flipout in-dash screens having clearance problems with the shifter in an automatic car... dunno about manuals though...
good luck,
-Steven.

i planing on getting a screen that flips down where the center air blows from. right under there. i think it would look pretty cool cause i havent seen anyone do that before.

You can check out how I have mine put in my car. I have an 8 inch pionner monitor in my car right now attached to the dash so I can actually take it out when I am not in the car for security reasons. Once I get my dash and steering wheel I am planing on getting a 15 inch flip down monitor to put in the car. Here is the link for my tv http://www.cardomain.com/memberpage/295097/14

I got my 8 inch pioneer tv off of ebay and it works awesome. I think I am planning on getting my 15 inch flip down from ebay as well. They have some some good ones and a decent price.

nice...
one thing I never understood about neon... is why do some people (not you) make the damn tubes so visible??? I thought the point was to hide them and just see the glow... some people are just so obvious when they do their placement...
