Anyone Here With A Broken Jensen Flipout?
Guys I have a Jensen VM9512 that is out of commission right now due to the ribbon cable that connects the screen to the unit being damaged.
Is there anyone here with a broken and useless Jensen flipout unit that would be willing to spare me this cable?
I currently have the head unit taken apart and waitinf on a replacement. Called Jensen and told them exactly what the problem was and asked how much a new cable would be. What a BS answer I got when they said I'd have to ship it to them for a repair bill of $137!!!

Man did I score a crackhead deal on a new radio.
I found a VM9512 being auctioned on Ebay, sold "as-is untested may or may not work".
Well, I won the bid for $96 shipped with the intention of using it as a parts radio and when it arrived, not only did it have ALL the accessories, not only was it in immaculate condition without so much as a scratch, not only was it MISADVERTISED and turned out to be the VM9512HD unit, but I plugged it in and there was ABSOLUTELY NOTHING wrong with it.

And the parking brake thing, did you know there is a secret menu you can access to OVERRIDE the parking brake so you can watch video at any time? Did it on both of mine now with good results.

Re: Anyone Here With A Broken Jensen Flipout?
Shutting off randomly could be a break somewhere at the harness. My 9512 was doing that just before it pooped out. With all those friggin wires for TV headrests back there things get smushed trying to fit the head unit into the dash.
