do you understand how to update your player, and the software you use?

if you've used the software, it's pretty straight-forward on creating these 'videos'...

let me know if you still need it, then I'll send it to you.

Sorry for the late replies guys... Been busy moving and stuff...

Anyway, to answer a few questions, the Xplodes are way more than enough thump for me. They pound, and sound great even with that hokey box thing I built. For those of you who figure they're just cheap ****, you're right and wrong. They're cheap (I paid $160CAD for the pair new), but they perform just as good as some of the more expensive subs on the market. It's not like subs need to be precision pieces of equipment... They're subs afterall. boom boom! Even the cheap Sony amp in the picture ran them well at the time. It now powers my 6.5 Alpines, and I bought an on_sale Pioneer Premier 860W? for the subs. I don't have any pics, but the headunit I use is a Clarion DXZ-635MP. Great mp3/wma support, but it's been to the shop twice for repairs. Within 2 weeks, the backlighting died on some of the buttons and when it came back it had heat issues and would always reject good disks.... That got old and i gave the console a wap with my fist one day and she went off the the repair place again... Great support, and now i'm very happy with the deck.

As for the kicks... What I did was find a used set of those generic Q-forms one this board for $40 bucks and I fibreglassed them to the the original kicks... I like to play with that sort of thing... Fibreglass is messy and smelly as it turned out, so do this in a garage or something . I'd say the total cost, including the glue and $1 dolalr glue gun from the dollar store, and carpet... $60 bucks? Super cheap, and fun and they're original. HOWEVER, if you just want to buy some pre-fab ready ot isntall kick *** kickpanels, the same company, named Q-logic makes excellent enclosures for subs and custom kick panels for our cars... They're called Qforms generally, google it! As for making more, I'd like to but no. I down int he Okanagan doing some flight training and I dont have time, money or materials to do anythign liek that. I urge you to try it yourelf though. Go to the wrecker, grab some kicks in any color, get a margerine tub or somethign and cut it out, and cut out a little yogurt container for the tweeters... tape them, glue them, fibreglass them.. it's easy. it's like art that always works and you cna't really **** up. Pile on the fibreglass too, it only make sit stronger gives better resonance than flimsy ****. Carpeting is easy too. each one of those probably has about 10 pieces of carpet glued to eachother for the tight curves and stuff

Enjoy

Orangetang, i really like the clean look of your setup (especailly the subs)... I'm thinking about upgrading from my stock stereo and i liked your setup the best out of everyones (i dont need anything to break glass, just something that sounds nice and looks clean and good). if you dont mind me asking, How much did your setup cost you?

Kenwood 6x9 crap $39
Cables and wires ~$80

I'd love to get the kenwood amp that communicates with the excelon headunits... they completely control the amp EQ/GAIN/FILTERS remotely via a link cable...

sweet.. the only problem is the kenwood amps aren't known for their value or performance...

Heres a crappy picture of mine, its not bad for being the 1st box I ever made. I decided to go with black vinyl because I plan on putting black carpet in sometime in the future. You cant see the screws that bad in real life either.

erm, this may sound stupid... but do all camaros have fold-down license plates, and the locking mechanism is behind the plate?

I never noticed that before.

Saigon_Bob that is just the electrical contact for the hatch. My hatch, when lowered, is closed electrically.

some 80's cars had those contacts to know when the latch was closed completely i think... the later must have relocated that to the actually pull down motor.

your brake light is inside the car, instead of in the spoiler. That's why you dont have the pad. 87-90's had the pad for the 3rd brake light in the spoiler.

The brake lights changed on the camaros either late 80's or in the 90's so yea the 86 camaro has the brake light on the spoiler. firechickens dont have the same type of spoiler

I think pretty much everyone can... it would be silly to make a setup where you couldn't...

you could easily just make it so you can lay the t-tops over the subs themselves if you had to... it would only slightly alter the sound, and it's not like you drive like that all the time.
