Custom speaker box
Well i dont know about you all but i have T-tops and i like to have them down when its hot. So i did not want to close in that space in the back of my car. So i custom built a box for 3 12'' subs to go right above the space. Now when ever i drive by a truck they can look down through the glass to see them. Now i have seem my friend do it with a truck box. But it was way too big and blocks his vison and only hold 2 12''s. So i brought my car to school and measured it all up and made a perfect box for my car. It looks like it was built with the car. Only one problem i had to work out. Where to put my amp. But i found this one rather easy. I put another custom box in the middle of the back seats. It holds one 8'' sub which you can not see. But trust me it is loud. I made this box just for bass. Nothing else. And then i put my amp on that and two cup holders also. You would have to see it to believe it. Ill take pictures of it all later. But trust me its is nothing you have seen before. With 8'' speakers in the side wall of the back seats. 2-6 by 9s in each door. And 5 tweaters one in each vent. Oh and also the factory 4'' speakers in the back. I haven't changed those to 6 1/2 yet. Job isn't paying as much anymore...

first of all... welcome to TGO, if your not a native english speaker i apologize before hand but DUDE I CANT UNDERSTAND YOU HARDLY AT ALL...
ok that outa the way... this isnt meant to be a knock but it sounds like you have 5 gillion speakers in your car. Sounds like *** to me. you shouldnt mix different size subs : "the 8" are for bass only" well what are the 3 12"s for then?...
5 tweets is over kill and in the vents no less, waste of money ( the two that would come in a component set would sufice trust me)
uhh cup holders and an amp nearby??? on an enclosure at that. lol good luck with that but i wouldnt put liquid near my amp, nor would i want my drinks shaken to death by a sub.
6x9s in the door? or the sail panels? i dont get it, and the 4" in the back? is this a bose system your trying to upgrade?
you'd do much better to sell everything and get a nice H/U, some nice components, and 2 nice 12" speaks in an enclosure for the rear well area( the t-tops can go in the back seat, i put em there)

I don't find his post all that hard to understand..... I've seen much worse.
But I agree, there's no need for 9382798374928734987 speakers.

*Warning: Cheap shot coming. Bob, you're going to criticize someone’s posting for grammar, spelling, or anything. Grammer is spelled grammar. Sorry, I had to.
I’m just going to comment on two parts of the described system. One: mixing the size of the subs usually give less them desirable results. Two: with 5 tweets in the vent I can’t imagine that the sound stage can be all that accurate.
A suggestion.
For the most part the simple, well laid out system will sound better them one that is “over thought” or over kill with speakers. Just throwing speakers in a car isn’t as good as a simple system. Some of the best sounding (maybe not loud) setups are one or two subs with good well aimed component up front. 5 speakers total.

noplacetohide, I read your response in the new post, please don’t take our joshing around back and forth to hard. And under stand that any criticism can be take as constructive. Lets drop the negative and start again. As a new member that was a harsh way to start on MY part. This board is vary helpful and have a lot of vary knowledgeable people on it.
To clarify my comments, I didn’t meant to say your cars not loud, I’m shore it is. And as fare as ten speaker used it some stock set-up, yes I’m know there out there. But rear fill isn’t for everyone. I will never think it’s more accurate. And the amount of hard engineering that goings into getting them to sound right is mind numbing. And mixing subs and having it sound right isn’t that easy ether. But your car isn’t my car, it’s yours. Have you had your car mic? You may be surprised what the spec. analyzer would tell you. And with the tweets, Like I said above I’m shore it’s loud, but you’ll almost never be able to get a front sound stage to work for you with the tweeters in the vents like that. Under stand that these comment are meant to build knowledge, not to “poke fun at”. And that constructive discussion is a two way street.
