So I live in a bad part of Philly, and my radio has been stolen 3 times in the last month. So now I bought my new radio some Kenwood $200. How do I avoid getting it stolen? Move? Nope. So I have a question, I want to pull my radio out every time I park at my house. But when I do that all my memory will be wiped. Is there anyway to parallel off the 12v source when the car is off with a battery, small battery? And FYI they have even taken my radios without the faceplate?

why keep putting money into something that you have for what.. 2 weeks. every two weeks a new cd player costs you $200 or above. wow. seriously, either:

1) keep it stock until you can get in a better location
2) find a garage to park in
3) buy a damn alarm with lcd pager that lets you know when and where your car is being broken into at
4) have a baseball bat next to you so if u hear them breaking into your car again you can beat the crap outta them

use a diode and a 9v battery to the negative and constant wire, should keep the clock and memory powered.

Also, how did they steal the radio three times? Mine was stolen once, but I had to buy a new one, they never brought it back to steal it again. just a joke btw.

Why not remote mount it?

Edit: Like this: http://www.afrotechmods.com/Reallych...hettoradio.htm

That site is freaking funny. I know they are doing it really ghetto, but you get the general idea...

maybe mount it bottom passenger area, like by the kick panel. then operate by remote. would have to fabricate something.
