I have read some of the posts on people who have had their factory CD decks rebuilt-what did you pay and how well do the rebuilt decks play CD's you burn on your computer.
Overall, how satisfied are you with the results and do you recommend any place in particular?

 

Personally I've learned the lesson. Don't bother .. unless you looking at newer deck. The factory CD deck the thirdgens came with look fine in the cars.. But thats where it ends. They are extreamily picky when it comes to CD-R's I found about 90 % of the time it doesn't work. I spent 500 dollars Canadian to get mine refirbished. I'm satified with the quality of the repairs, and all. In Canada here I used York Electronics (AC-Delco authorized).

But my fastory deck isn't going back in the car. I used it for one year.. and that was enough..

 

Thanks for the info, I guess it is not worth it if you can't play CD-R's. Will probably look at getting a deck from a 4th gen Camaro to install instead.
