Pictures of radio pod area

Hey all, was just wondering if anyone had pictures of the radio pod area. My car was broken into back in october and the insurance company finally got its act together after me calling them every week for several months and had the damage inside and on the door lock fixed. Well when I went to pick it up I asked, where will the radio mount, the two brackets on the side arent there anymore. Well the only reply I got from the dealership person was that it came with the stereo when I buy it...I knew that wasnt true and tried to figure out what the hell was going on, I even showed him the broken plastic where it had been snapped off, but he had no clue. Said he would look for a part number, called my cell and left a message saying that he couldnt find anything, now he wont return my calls. Anyway, I just want to see, or if you know please tell me, if the two brackets on the left and right where the stereo would mount are part of the upper/lower console, or a part I can order and put in myself. If they are of the former then looks like I am going to have to fab something up.

Appreciate the help,

Dave

you can probably find the piece at ANY junkyard...

what 'plastic' piece are you referring to?

on my car, you use the original METAL mounts for the stock radio, and those BOLT onto the aftermarket radio installation kit...

if they took your whole radio, you need the metal brackets (the plastic ones that come with kit are friggin' WORTHLESS...,) and some screws

This is the best pic I have online. I mounted my radio mounting pad behind the factory tabs, so you can pretty easily see the mounting tabs in the pic:

mmm looks like one of thost blaupunkt decks without an internal amplifier... I hear those are some of the best decks available...

but my hearing is going out, so what can I say?

just kidding, I try not to listen to my music THAT loud...

I wish I had some DB meter for my car... just a reality check of how loud I have the music.

Assuming you are talking about my deck; its a Clarion ProAudio DRB5475. It gets the job done.

the pics are perfect, yeah I am missing the plastic pieces that those small left and right metal brackets attack to. I am thinking of just getting som 90 degree angle brackets to replace the plastic ones and bolt them to the inside fo the console, at the same time shaving down the broken plastic to make sure I get as close to the stock location as possible.

Thanks again!
