Speaker advice

My camaro currently has an alpine CDA-9833 Head unit with alpine 4x6's in the dash, Alpine ddc-r17f components mounted in place of the 6x9's, and 2 alpine 12 inch subs in a q-logic box in the trunk. the subs are model swr-304E and are being pushed by an MTX thunder 2300x amp. The 4x6's are trash because the plastic woofer's shattered. Im not happy with the rest of speakers because they just dont sound crisp.
I was thinking of infinity in the dash. Are these good?

or are these better?

The installer of the components just put a piece of plywood in the 6x9 openings and drilled the holes for the woofer and tweeter to be mounted(i guess like a plate speaker) would it be better for another component system, or just a good set of 6x9's? Any recommendations?

Ive never had the sub box out to look at the amp, so i dont even know how it is adjusted. the subs dont hit cleanly, and im assuming it is because the q-logic box isnt sealed.

Any suggestions? I dont need a really loud system, I just want it to sound good.

hmmm, I haven't heard anyone talk about the quality of the q-logic sub boxes. I only know people complain about q-logic kick panels all the time...... The sub box is probably sealed - your problem may be one of many things:
1. If the sound is clipped, the gain is too high for the amp at the volume you want and so the amp is clipping.
OR
2. Your subs are clipping because they're getting too much juice and reach their maximum excursion.
OR
3. Neither the sub or the amp are clipping. Your other speakers aren't playing resonant frequencies that make the bass sound "clean" because they're trash and their frequency extension doesn't go down far enough to pick up where the subs are crossed over (which sounds like the case). Jim has written about that here:

I'm guessing your crutchfield link was supposed to take me to their coaxial 4x6's? The link just took me to their home page. Out of all their 4x6's, the kappa plates will sound the best, but I wouldn't waste money on them just to put in the dash. I would buy some kick panels from Jim or Rez (see other posts) and buy some decent components for them. If you don't want to spend any more money, don't put anything in the 6x9 holes. You won't need them if you have good comps up front.
