im thinking about putting a system in my iroc... i dont know too much about stereos but i want something that will sound pretty good with good bass. But im kinda crunched for money so ill tell you what im looking at getting and yall can give me your opinion... 2 audiobahn 10" AW1051T subs. Ive already got an enclosed box for the trunk area. and the amp im looking at is probably not that great but i want something decent and affordable, its a pyramid PB781X 1000 watt 2 channel amp, or a legacy LA770. Let me know what you guys think and give me some suggestions

 

the amps your lookin at. take about 500watts away from the 1000 claimed and you might be more accurate. subs, instead of audiobahn, since your lookin entry level type subs that are affordable, go with jl audio w1 ($100 each) or audiopipe ... im not exactly sure how much the audiopipes are, but they are inexpensive.

 

what's ur budget?when we have this, we can design you the best system for ur money....btw on those abahns ur lookin at, they get real loud for the money, but i don't like the sound quality of them (haven't heard of anyone that does like them) but as far as budget subs go look at pioneer, lower level memphis, lower level powerbass, some people like rockford and kicker, but everyone and their mother has them around here, as far as budget amps go, look at profile (do rated power, or danm close to it, also look on www.profileusa.com for profile's factory refurbed amps for supercheap), power acoustik, hifonics for higher rms rating (arounf 1000+), give us a budget and we can hook ya up the right way!!!!!!!

my fried has a set of 10" MTX thunder 8000 subs that i think im gonna buy from him. Has anyone used these or has some input on them?

 

most higher end amps on ebay are like 300 alone. Subs are cheaper though.

Hifonics seems a bit more of your price range. And alot of people on the board seem to use em.
