Panasonic CD deck at the bone yard... worth $50?
Ok, there's an Altima at the bone yard (ri ce cars are best for car audio there lol) with a Panasonic deck in it. The thing looks brand new, and sounds great!
Anyways, I can't find much on the model... not even any on ebay, and I can usually find anything there!
The model is DFX400U. It looks really cool with the blue colors. It comes with the wires, faceplate, remote, and the faceplate surrounding plastic for $50. Is it worth it?

Best listings are ones where you've done your homework and the seller hasn't!
I'd say considering the price OUR boneyards charge for radios! If the unit is pulled it will be $100 at least...upto $300 in some cases. OEM is iinflated in cost due to the supposed direct match people desire on occasion to refurb their car. The one I had asked about had a new laser, as an example, and was a late 80s/90s Delco CD with EQ

Yes, it's strange. Stock radios start at around $100 at the bone yard, but all the aftermarkets are $50! lol

My local boneyard only charges 6.00 for radios.Doesnt matter what kind or if it is cassette or cd.All radios are 6.00 and they give you 30 days to return it if you have a problem.

I mentioned over in Hist/Rest recently how I refurbished a poor working cassette unit on my Firebird's factory Delco. That one has LCD light showing the scale of front to back positioning for fader and balance, etc. Vs rotary *****. Those are on the high end....I'm with ya on picking those cheapies up... Just look on eBay at some of those factory Delco auctions!

Ive seen those radios in trans ams and fieros. They have pushbuttons instead of ***** and the lights that move for balance and fader.I had a nice one with a great working cassette deck in my iroc that i pulled from a fiero gt.I sold it after i was able to find a good working stock delco camaro style deck with cassette and eq
