Delco CD Player Problem

I just got a factory delco cd player from a 1995 Astro van.It worked fine untill i put it into my camaro. The problem is once it is mounted in the car and you insert a cd it will spit it out and says err on the display. If i take out the cd player and sit it flat on the center console it plays cds perfectly.Has anyone else had this problem?I have tried to raise the rear of the player but it will only mount at the same angle

Strange... must be pinching something when it's bolted in.

BTW, nice find! It looks great.

I've had it happen to 2 of my CD players. Sorry, I don't know how to fix it.

The guy who sold it to me just said it was out of his convertible so im not sure.My best guess would be a 1989 car as i have done some limited research on these factory cd decks and have found 1 other post showing a picture of this deck from a 1989 gm shop manual

There should be a date on the unit itself, though now that it's installed I'm sure you don't want to take it out lol

Looks like it could have come from many different GM's. I think I have seen a Cadillac and a Pontiac with that one, though never a Chevy.

Yup, the red gives it away!
