I need to know the speaker sizes in a 1988 iroc coupe, does anybody know?

 

4x6es up front, and 6x9s out back

 

Does anyone know what fits a 91 gta
i know the rears are 6x9's but got no clue on dash and doors?

 

I just had a comment posted, but I just noticed you're in Iraq and probably don't have time to look around. The GTA can fit 6x9s in the back but you have to remove the factory stuff that consists of a plastic enclosure with a pair of 4x6s and a 5.25" woofer. The GTA uses 4x6s in the dash, and because of the heater box design, there isn't a lot of room for 4x6s with large magnets. You can easily modify the dash to accept 4x6s with larger magnets by following the article in the tech section of the website. There are no door speakers in thirdgens, and if you want to put speakers in the doors, you've got to build them out almost the full depth of the speakers because the power window motor is right in the bottom front of the door.

 

Sorry i know there are 6 speakers but only know of the rears and dash. I actually havent seen my car yet since i bought it over here.

 

No need to apologize. I'm critical on people who don't use the search, but you're over there protecting my ***, so I'm guessing you're too busy to check it, and that's the absolute least I can do in return.

The 6 speakers refers to the 2 4x6s in the dash, and the convoluted setup in the back that consists of 2 4x6s and 2 5.25" woofers. All of that crap can be removed and 6x9s bolted in instead.

 

...and in any event that you dont want that "crap" you could send it to me! haha...
