is it your sub or what?

all i know is if you wanna get loud, that sub will do that...if you wanna do anything else, its junk....there are subs out there like XXX that will get just as loud, and sound 100 times better doing it...I'm not sure if this is true, but I read an article on how this thing works, and essentally its like a cannon...

what you got is the voicecoil, and the voice coil gap (the cylinder the voice coil rides in)...well at low power and low volume the voice coil stayes in the gap, start cranking it up, i guess it actually comes out of the voice coil gap, and the only thing controling it is the spider...this allows for tremendous peak to peak excursion, but you gotta realize when the voice coil is out of the gap, it has very limited control on the cone of the woofer...so its just a big air pump that moves air...i dunno if this is true, but that is what the article stated...I've seen some numbers on this, and people are hitting like 150 flat on the new TL in like a small s10 or something..thats loud, but not really that loud for 3000 watts rms and sounding like crap...IMO there are alot better woofers out there for the money...

4.35 inches of total excursion? Yarga! You could hammer nails into wood with that kinda movement.
