Boom Boom in the Vroom Vroom
Well,
Finally got my install done on the TransAm. I had my friend help me and we built a fiberglass tub like box. Its about 3/8's of an inch thick. We used 3/4" MDF for the top plate to mount the speaker. For equipement we went with a 12" Soundstream T4 Sub and a Soundstream Picaso series 1500D amp. We have the sub wired at 2ohm as the sub is a DVC 1ohm sub that can handle 2000watts max, 900watts rms. Also the box type we went with is in ported enclosure to give off the max SPL but still be good for daily driving.
This setup dwarfs my old one.
I don't have pics yet, gotta get more battz for my camera but I am hoping to have them up by tomorrow. Just so all you know...I am not using my capacitors anymore. With caps my voltage would be around 13.5 to 12.6, without I am anywhere from 14.6 to 14.0...caps sux.
