CUSTOM Audio DESIGN HELP!!!
CUSTOM Audio DESIGN HELP!!!
I know this is not in an fbody, let alone a 3rd gen but you guys are the only ones who know there shet.
Anywho; I have a 71' International Scout that I have been working on, I have it down to just a bare tub, I will be knocking the body/ accessories out first. So I will be designing the audio, I am not sure the deck or the speakers (brand model) I will be using (though I like Infinity), but I want to know acoustically the best placement in my rig?
* Here is the info:
Just a rear seat and front seat,
Interior (and exterior for that matter) is ALL Line-Xed (no carpet)
I have a roll cage (here is a link to a pic of the cage I have; it is also a scout that it is in: http://www.dandcextreme.com/product.asp?pkID=48)
I am thinking of two 6x9's on ether side of the rear seat, a 6" on the lower rear part of the inner door, and some little tweeters near the front top of the door.
I am not too much into pure bass (infact I doubt I will be installing a sub), though I do want my tunes to sound powerful, good bass and highs as well. The Scout has a removable top which is also all Line-Xed; the truck will spend 90% of it’s time topless; if that makes a difference.
.......yea I know sounds hard eh?
Here is a pic of the rear of the scout before I got everything striped and media blasted; there are NO holes in the scout now for speakers, as it now has many new body panels.
THANKS GUYS,
-SuperchargedRS
*Also budget wise I am looking to spend no more then $1500, also metal fab is no prob as I am working on the Scout at a foundry.
