Stealth Antenna Problems

I recently wired a stealth antenna and talked to the guys at multiple websites all who told me most are junk and this is the best. This is it I believe http://www.autoloc.com/detail.lasso?itemid=hab I placed it inside at the very top of the windshield right next to the headliner. Now Im getting pretty bad reception and cant figure out why. Could the tint at the very top of windshield be doing this somehow?

I read somewhere that Radio Shack has an antenna that you mount in the dash somewhere and it gets pretty good reception. Not sure where I read it but Iknow I did. I will be doing this in the spring when I repaint the car.

I believe that some audio places sell a kinda of amplifier for the antenna, makes signals come in stronger. You could see if you could find one of those and try it out. That may solve the problem, but I'm not sure.

one thing you may want to try. go to a junkyard and get the stock mounting hardware for your stock antenna. wire it up and place it under the dashpad. i have heard of people getting good results this way. good luck
