Broken Pioneer DEH-P650
like the tittle says...
the faceplate no longer displays. i am pretty sure it is the faceplate... this started happening right after i dropped it on the ground
i have allready opened it up once and cant see any busted pieces or broken connections... but there are a few intergrated curcuits in there...
if anyone has any ideas i'd love to hear em. this was an awsome deck
or if anyone has a working faceplate for sale

This one is more up in the air then the JVC. The drop could have caused the problem, and if that the case, best bet is a new faceplate from Pioneer. They offer that faceplate as an ***'y under part# CXB9682. Not cheap, run ya just over $100.00. Or try E-Bay.
But that could just be funny timing. Dirty connection to the faceplate will often cause this problem. Take a good look at the pins on the HU that go to the faceplate. Do they have what looks like black residue on any of them? You may just try cleaning them to see what happens. I've found the best thing for this is a fiberglass-pencil. If the don't have one, get one. They can be had at Wall-Mart in the auto department with all the re-finishing and paint stuff.
Disconnect power and GENTLY brush the connector side to side. You need the power disconnected because a lot of the FG-pencils have a metal ring at the tip and shorts are bad. Be gentle so you don't bend any of the pins. Once bent you'll never get then right again. Once everything is shiny and good wipe the connector side to side with a Q-Tip dampened with alcohol. See what happens.
