i don't care for clarion much but that's a personal preference. my in dash dvd is a double din also so that doesn't help you much. i've seen plenty people run them though.

A din refers to the size of the headunit. Most of the headunits you see in cars are single din and they have adapters to fill up the factory double-din sized space in thirdgens. Thus meaning a double din headunit does not require an adapter.

din-half would be more thirdgen suitable. double din is larger then our factory setup. more common with european and japan style vehicles which offer oem navigation and the rest. i went with a double din and changed my console because i prefer the look.

Yeah I ment to say din and a half. Din and a half would fill up the stock thirdgen space without using the adapter.

i have a kenwood excelon 915 its a bit pricy love it though with the nav.

But i would not buy that clarion its junk trust me

The new pioneer i think it is retails for 1500 i can get you one for 950 its an extremely nice unit. my friend works at best buy so i get a hook up.

950 is without tax just so you know its .06 here in PA

Just let me know its a really cool system and a nice feature is the touch screen they made a way that when you press the buttons on the screen it makes it feel like your pressing a real button!
