power to fixed antenna

Can you convert a power antenna to a regular fixed antenna?

Thanks,

You need to get in through the wheel well and take the old antenna out, tape up the power connection that you will now not need, and put the new antenna in. Should be a straight R&R. Is there something I'm missing or are you just looking for more of a step-by-step thing?
