when running multiple amps, do i have to ground them at the same spot? or can i just ground them individually?

 

you can ground them all at multiple places. the only possible issue might be minor issues with ground loops. and that should really only be of any concern if the voltage isn't very well regulated. but I don't think that would be much of a problem.

 

You can get a distribution block and ground them through that.

 

I bought a stinger power & ground distirbution block, its pretty cool because it has the power & ground on the same block. It came w/ 2 4 ga inputs (1 for power & the other for the ground) & 4 4 or 8 ga outputs (2 for power & 2 for ground), perfect for a 2 amp set-up.

 

To avoid the potential for ground loops, the best practice is to ground the amps in the same spot, or use a distribution block for your grounding.

That's not to say that it won't work properly if you use separate grounds, but you do allow for the potential for a ground loop to occur, especially over time as one or both of the ground points begins to oxidize and lower conductivity.
