Fuses keep blowing on amp
The system has run for 2 years w/o any problems. Then all the sudden it quite working. First I checked the main fuse on the Positive cable from battery. It was bad so i replaced it. Still the amp won't turn on so i checked the fuses on the amp and they are both blown so i replaced them and they blow out right away. What could cause this?

I kinda thought it might be a wire grounded to chassis cause I had that happen in my old car except it wasn't fused and started fire.

A little more info would be helpful. I don't that anything is grounding out unless it's one of the speaker wires which isn't all that likely. Even if one is grounded out I'm not sure that would be enough to pop fuses.
When does the amp pop its fuse? When you turn it on, when you're playing music, etc?
Also, under what circumstances were the fuses initally blown?

Not sure I just noticed the subs weren't working one day. I don't crank them way up and be obnocious. I just like a little bass to my music so i'm sure it's not that i had it cranked too high or anything. The fuses blow as soon as you turn the amp on.

If the fuses blow the instant you turn on the amp odds are the power supply is shot. Get in contact with the amp maker to see what they can suggest.

yeah its def got to be a short somewhere. Or if there is a spot you didnt check where maybe positive and negative are crossed that will cause your fuses to blow right away.
