Wiring Harness
Ok, i bought an '86 Iroc a few weeks ago, and the head unit is gone along with the chevrolet wiring harness. I was planning on rewiring the car with a painless wiring harness since it was made by GM in the eighties.. I'm restoring the car.. So will i need to pick up an '86 harness, or could i use an '89-up (newer style) GM harness? I wouldn't see why not, but then again, i don't know **** about wiring. Man.. I need some help.
Oh, and i cant decide between Black or Silver.. even though it's unrelated, i just cant figure it out.

No, i'm rewiring the whole car, and im gonna run a 406, no fuel injection. The last time i checked it had a really bad ******* wiring job in the engine compartment, and there's no harness in the dash, just wires..

As far as i know Painless only make engine compartment/ ecm harnesses. What you would need is the BCM harness or body harness which would be a dealer item. Probably more expensive than an Ls1 crate. I know i had to order a harness for a friend who was doing an sr20det swap in his 240sx. He tried it on his own and butchered the body harness. It was $2500 and nobody had it.
As far as the color do black with silver trim/accents.
