radio noise
Hello. I have a problem with my system. I have never gotten any noise, but recently that all changed. my old alternator bit the dust in the bearing department, and I replaced it. As soon as I put the new alternator in, I started gettin a lot of alternator whine in the system. Any suggestions>?

Need more info. First, make and model of the amp? Does it make this noise only on the radio, or the CD as well. Is it coming from speaker driven by the HU or by amps or by both?
To start, go over all your ground. Grounds grounds grounds. At the HU, at the amps, and under hood, you may have wiggled something under the hood.

All my speakers are powered by a kenwwod amp. IF the amp is on, headunit off, no noise. Headunit on, noise. Headunit in anoterh car, no noise.. I checked my grounds... I came to teh comclusion that my rca cables are entirely too long. They follow a very convoluted path to the amp, and come near some power wire. I think I will just rewire the whole thing and see what happens. Thanks, and keep em coming...
