whos running kicker subs in a sealed box

Im looking into getting a single 10" Kicker L7 or the new CVX sub and Im gonna try and make a selaed box for it that will fit down in the well. The box wont come all the way up to the top of the well.it will only be 12" high by 11" deep by 26" wide. the sub will face toward the drivers side. Those measurments equal 1.4 cubic feet. Im just looking for some advice on this. I dont want to get this done and not like how it hits. I can make trhe box smaller if needed. I have no choice but to go with a 10" sub. it doesnt have to be a Kicker sub but I already have Kicker amps so I figured I would stick with one brand.

well to start off i was going to make a box like you said for my 12" kicker L5 but then i ended up ditching the bottom and leaving it as a plate cause it sounded kickass plus it fit so perfectly. i had the sub also on the drivers side but on that side the box was too shallow in that area and the sub needed an extra 2 inches to be all in. so id say if you do it put it in the center so itll fit cause the 10 is probably still a deep sub. but just do it and itll sound kickass. just go buy some mdf buy the sub id say the 10" L7 would sound the best with more bass. then take the included template trace it on the mdf cut it out shove the sub in walla make it fit in the back wire it up and your golden sounds harder than it really is.
