Did I wire my new subs up right? (DVC)

Ok, I just got my new subs for my car. They are JL Audio 8W3V2-D4 subs, and my trusty old Kenwood KAC-929 amp.

Now, first I need to know if I did the wiring right. There's a diagram of what I did below. These are dual 4OHM subs and the amp is bridgeable, but I am running it in stereo mode as I don't know what is best.

Second, am I overpowering the subs? Or underpowering? The amp says 1000w on it, which is obviosly before nuclear meltdown I'm sure, but anyone know the RMS output of it? And with the way I have this all wired, what OHM is it running at? The subs say 125w RMS is best.

So... please help!

Your subs are wired at 2 ohms each, which i dont know if your amp can handle in stereo mode, but it should be able to.

chevydude is correct. You have it wired correctly and that does put each channel at 2 ohms. Your amp puts out 230 watts x 2 channels @ 2 ohms.

Here's the manual for your amp. It's a .pdf file.

Well, wait a minute.

You said "first I need to know if I did the wiring right".

Then said "Circuit City told me they wired it....".

Which is it?

Both. I hooked up the speakers and it didn't work, and the enclosures were supposed to be new, so I figured the speakers were wired right... but then when I didn't know what to do I brought it to CC.
