Ignition Switch problem?
Hi I recently had to have a new ignition switch put in my '85 TransAm because the key got stuck in it. Now when I listen to my stereo it doesn't work when the car is turned on except it works fine when turned off plus the inside lights are dim now and the turn signals flash very slowly but that could be another problem. Anybody have any ideas? Thanks alot.

Thanks for the reply Gummie! The problem is im not to sure how to get at all the wiring, I usually bring the car in to a mechanic to do all the work on it. How hard would it be to check the connects myself?

Not a problem. The mechanic who installed the new switch most likely spliced it in wherever it was most convenient. I know that I'm not sure where this would be but if you were to post this same question in the electrical boards you would probably get a pretty quick response. The mod, Trickster, is extremely helpful.
