Subs not working
Well the title pretty much says it all. My whole sub box isn't working in fact. I don't get any sound through it all of a sudden. However, my amp is getting power because it still lights up. I've tried to check every connection to every wire and they all seem fine.
One thing that I should note is that they stopped working about two days after i fixed a splice problem in the remote wire going from the amp to the head unit. It was coroded where it was spliced so I cut the wire back about 1/2 an inch on both sides and taped it up until I could buy some more splices, but my sub box ceased to function before then.
I don't know if that would have anything to do with it though. Does anyone have any sugestions on what my problem may be?

i had the same problem and ended up tearing my whole system out. turns out alls i had to do was go into the main menu on the headunit and turn the subs On instead of them beign OFF. i dont know if u disconnected the battery when u fixed that wire but everytime u disconnect the battery u have to turn the subs on(well atleast on my headunit)

I have a four channel amp that died over the summer. The power light came on, but no output to the speakers. I'm figuring it overheated in the summer heat.
Try and get another amp to find out if your amp croaked.

Well I checked through all the menu's and didn't find anything about the subs. However, my power light on the amp does not come on, yet the "Jenson" name still lights up with its neon red light.

There's your problem, it's a Jensen. I ran one for a while, it worked pretty good, but it's nothing like the Rockford that I have now.

I realize that it's not the best, or all that good for that matter, but it is better than stock and is what was installed in the car when i purchased it. I am not very willing to spend much money on asthetic or stereo parts. I bought this car solely for the fact that it would make a great project performance car. So if I can fix what I have now that would be great. However if i can't fix it without having to replace it then it'll be out with the stereo.
