Help/Advice needed please

Hey guys..I'm completely new to car audio and need some advice. I have a 99 camaro 2d coupe and I'm going to get a headunit installed for christmas. It is completely factory and doesn't have a cd player. I've been looking on the circuit city website and it looks like I need some extra accesories to get the head unit installed. After I get a headunit, I plan on putting new speakers and possibly subwoofers (need some more money first) in it. What are the dimensions of the speakers that will fit in the front and the rear and does anyone have advice on cheap headunits/speakers/subwoofers? I don't really need high end stuff, I just want to replace the factory speakers because they don't sound too great. Thanks in advance.

Hey guys..I took off the plastic cover on my rear speakers and measured them...it looks like their a little over 5 inches. Is that right? Did i measure the wrong thing or something? A lot of people have told me their suppose to be 6.5 inches.

Why don't you go on the cruthfield audio website and look up your car? That will give you all the information you need to know.
