ohm and power question
I just bought a jl w3 dual 4 ohm sub off a friend for 50. what i did not kno is that one coil is blown so its only hooked up on one side. I just ordered a flame q dual 4 ohm from audiobahn. I have a ma audio 800W RMS pushing it all 2 ohm stable. What can i do to maximize output? what ohm will i be running at?

Are you using just the audiobahn sub or are you going to do a Frankenstein install and use both subs?
If you're using just the audiobahn, you'll parallel the two coils, resulting in a 2 ohm load. Make sure that MA Audio is stable into a 2 ohm bridged load and not just 2 ohm stereo. If it's only stable for 2 ohm stereo, you'll need to run the sub in stereo, which won't maximize your output.
Though if it was me I'd probably still use that busted-assed JL instead of the brand new Audiobahn. No matter how FUBAR'd that JL is, it couldn't possibly sound worse than the Audiobahn.
