I agree with AmorgetRS. You will end up with the highs pointing down at you from above and the low and mid pushing up towards you ear. Your ear will take the contrasting sounds and mix them to make sense or discard the bottom sounds and concentrate on the highs as most people
s hearing have a tendancy to do this. It won't sound good and will probably start to give you a headache. As a former IASCA judge I highly do not recommend this.........trust me you WON'T be happy with the sound.

Because I said so and I'm a Moderator so what says, goes ;-)
Basically because you want all sound to be coming at you "equally". For tweeters it is most important they are they equidistant from you head because it is easier for a human to tell where highs are coming from vs lows (why subwoofers in the trunk work just fine). Basically you'll be getting blasted by one and barely able to hear the other. Of course, being seated on the left side of the car it makes it impossible for all speakers to be an equal distance from your head, however you can minimize the effect by putting the speakers farther away from you, which is why generally we put the tweeters in the kicks.
Tweeter 1 will be 6 inches from your head, tweeter 2 is say 40 inches from your head. Ratio of 3:20.
However, put them in the kicks, Tweeter 1 is 30 inches from your head, tweeter two is now 60 inches from your head, 1:2 ratio. The second will sound A LOT better.
