Help seting up 4/3/2 chanel amp for 1 sub

I have a Sony Xplod amp I have had for years. I used to use it for running all of my font speakers and it did that well. It is set up with a hi-current 2-4ohm, or hi-voltage 1-2 ohm I am planning on running a single 10" Xplod sub, that only has 1 voice coil. My question is can I just run the Pos, and Neg of the 2 bridged channels together? Thus making it a one channel amp. Thanks for the help. Oh amp is SONY XM-754HX haven’t bought the sub yet, so I don’t have the Part # but it is a 4 ohm Sub.

You can't make it a one channel amp, other then by only using one channel. Bridge two of them down to one and thats that.

I was reading last night how to bridge an amp, almost everything I found was how to bridge amps that were already mono amps. I think I finally figured it out though. I think I just connect both positives, and both negatives then run the amp at 2ohms, per channel. And when the signals are combined it will put out 4 ohms. The amp does not have a built in one channel bridge.

Hooked it up today in a custom well box sized for my ten. It sounded like **** with it Bridged, so I switched it to running of one channel in two channel mode. At 4 ohms, and it sounds great. Real tight and punchy. It is definitely not a competition system but I can cruse down the freeway with the windows down and have it as loud as I like and it sounds clear as a bell to me. I also have plenty of room for adjustment. The base is adjusted at 2 of ten at the amp, and at 0 of +10 to -10 at the head unit, so I can crank up the base, or turn it down depending on what I am listening to.

I only ran it for bout 8-10 seconds, and did not turn it loud, it was obvious it was not working right so i turned it right off.
