I am putting in a 1000 watt xpload amp and a 12" xplode sub in my 87 firebird, and when hooking my rca cables into the back of my cd player it will not go back in because the rca cables hit the back of the compartment. Any suggestions???

 

radio shack has rca plugs with 90 deg. boots on them that should fix your problem

 

I used a dremel to grind down the plastic it was hiting.
