confused on sub and box maching

Ok, so i dont really understand completly the concept of creating a sealed box, or a ported box for that matter.

Ok, so this is what i want: 2 10" subs, and i would like to create a box for teh well area.

I know that there are plans in the stickey section, but those show for a 12" sub. Can i use the saem dimesnions? Does it really matter? if someone could explain the concept of air space to a sub that would would be very helpfull.

You need to build a box based on the specs of the subs you choose.

The specs for the subs in question, should say the recommended sealed enclosure size, and the recommended ported enclosure size.

I put these boxes in my 89 and loved the sound they produced, and now i just bought one for my 86, not telling ya what to do but these are pretty resonable and easy to install.
