It's sealed. My buddy was a little anxious with the drill, lol! I'll be getting new JBL subs but for now I'll just use these. They hit hard!

Re: Installed Stereo today...

Just curious, what did you use to seal it? I poked a little hole in the surround of a speaker in my truck putting the door panel back on. I figured it wouldn't make a difference in the surround and left it.

It might be cool if you make a panel that went over all of those wires and just had a hole cut out for the amp, I don't like the look of all those wires.

Re: Installed Stereo today...

We pretty much just threw it in the car and adjusted it to where it sounded awesome. Eventually, I'm going to cut the carpet in little slits and run the wires underneath. I'm also getting new JBL subs and probably new amps. My buddy owns a stereo place and can hook me up with tons of stuff. This setup POUNDS. If my stereo is on, my rear view and side mirrors are useless. I was surprised that nothing vibrates like those cars you hear with systems that rattle every panel, license plate bracket trunk lid etc.

Re: Installed Stereo today...

not to be a jackass but if you can get better subs than jbl's from your friend that would better, not saying jbl's are terrible, but i beleive there is better for the money
