enough airspace??

i bought some pretty good speakers 'Hertz'. i had a clarion amp installed today and it does not preform as well as i want it to. i was wondering if that could be because the foam behind the 6x9 are not allowing enough airspace. the magnet on the back just touches the foam. should i rip it out or will i just be wasting my time? thx for the help.

Re: enough airspace??

6x9s shouldnt need a lot of airspace.. you could take out the foam but i would imagin it would be the same. i dont think foam would make it sound worse.
